DESCRIPTION
Visit the historic and very famous monastery of Arkadi which played a key role in Crete’s resistance against the Turks. You will also be able to see the fascinating collection of icons, weapons and clerical items. Learn the Neolithic history of Melidoni Cave and discover the pottery traditions of the village of Margarites. Continue to the Museum of ancient Eleftherna, where artifacts found in the nearby archaeological site of Eleftherna and the necropolis of Orthi Petra are on display.
